Magic is incredibly common place in Urtholm, both naturally occurring and manufactured by other denizens. Since it is a natural part of the fabric of the world, everything in the world has grown or changed to adapt to its presence.

Magically conjured flames do not burn matter in the same way flames that are started from a spark, acting as a replica to what fire is supposed to do. It is more common to use magic as a catalyst for activities rather than the end goal.
